Resumen

Introduction: Gorse (Ulex europaeus) is currently one of the most invasive shrub-forming species in the world. Active management has been proposed for its control, including mechanical removal, followed by Gorse suppression by competition through planted forests. Objectives: In this study, we evaluate the development of 7-year-old mixed native plantations on Chiloé Island, North Patagonia, which were established following the removal of Gorse-dominated shrublands, and define which microsite conditions can facilitate stand structural development.
